Today, Pyrogiochi is a leading European player in the domestic fireworks and Category F1 indoor pyrotechnics sector. We boast a robust international footprint and long-standing partnerships with numerous major companies across the party and event industries.

Category F1 certified products are low-risk, low-noise consumer goods—many of which are approved for indoor use. They are increasingly establishing themselves as an integral part of the broader celebrations and party market, moving beyond the traditional fireworks sector.

We were the first to truly believe that the magic of fireworks shouldn’t be confined to traditional annual events like New Year’s Eve, but should instead elevate every milestone in life.

Our History

In 1984, Pyrogiochi was founded in Pontedera, Tuscany. Right from the start, the company focused on domestic and indoor pyrotechnic products, eventually growing into Europe’s market leader for party fireworks.

In 2006, our subsidiary Pyrogiochi Hamburg GmbH was established in Hamburg. Located in one of Europe’s premier port cities, this company manages our supply chain and delivers directly to all our European and international clients.

In 2009, following the entry into force of the EC Directive, we made our debut at our first international trade fair, Christmasworld, in Frankfurt.

In 2011, we participated for the first time in the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg.

In 2017, Pyrogiochi became a member of the PLMA (Private Label Manufacturers Association), exhibiting for the first time at the international trade show in Amsterdam. This marked a period of steady growth, with an increasing number of clients taking advantage of our customization services for F1 products.

In 2026, Pyrogiochi joined the EBPC (European Balloon and Party Council), which represents all the major European players in the party and event industry. Pyrogiochi is honored to be the very first pyrotechnics company admitted into this prestigious Association. The EBPC actively collaborates with European Union institutions to shape the safety standards (such as the Toy Safety Directive and REACH/CLP regulations) that govern the market.

Certifications and Safety

Fireworks are beautiful, but they can also be dangerous. That is why safety is our absolute priority.

Pyrogiochi operates a quality system in full compliance with Module E of the European Directive 2013/29/EU, issued by BAM, the most prestigious European Notified Body, based in Berlin.

In 2009, Pyrogiochi became the first company in Europe to achieve CE certification, holding the very first registration number (0589-F-0001) issued by the BAM Notified Body, as well as the first listing of CE F1 products in the Spanish register.

In 2010, Pyrogiochi certified its Environmental Management System under ISO 14001:2004 and its Quality Management System under ISO 9001:2008.

In 2020, the Module E-compliant quality system adopted by Pyrogiochi was recognized for the UKCA mark by the CERTRUST Notified Body.

Pyrogiochi holds all Module B certificates for the products it places on the market. All products placed on the market carry UN-ADR certification for transport and storage. All Pyrogiochi products are packaged using certified self-extinguishing materials. Our production sites are regularly inspected and certified by BAM and are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery. All goods undergo rigorous inspection prior to shipment and subsequent market release, in strict accordance with CE protocols.
